Ponytail Kids Club

The Ponytail Kid's Club, founded through Pink Heart Funds, is a depository drop off for ponytail donations. The Club collects all types of human hair for the purpose of having wigs made with children specifically in mind. Wigs are then created and given to those children free of charge. Click here for instructions about how you can donate your ponytail!

Come See the Ponytail Kids Stable!! See for yourself how the making of a human hair wig begins for a child with hair loss.  Enter the stable and drop your ponytail off in the corral.  A life size mural of a pony will brighten your day!  This is non-clinical atmosphere where children are fitted for wigs as well.  Fun, fun, fun!! Lots of free gifts donated by Fazzio's Farm Supply for the children.

A message about the Ponytail Kids Club from our founder, JoAn Niceley

Stable

We now have ponytails coming in from around the United States. Mothers, daughters, sons and fathers are cutting their ponytails to help put a human hair wig on a child with cancer.

Each ponytail makes a difference. It usually takes about six ponytails and $250 to make a wig.

We take the measurements of the child's head and match a hair color with his or hers but sometimes they want a new color. We then go to the "Ponytail Stable" and select the needed ponytails.

Once we've selected the ponytails, we send the ponytails off to a wig maker in Brooklyn, New York. At that time, the wig specialist makes the wig for our child in need. When we receive the wig, we call that child and make an appointment for the fitting and styling.

A very HAPPY child enters Pink Heart Funds and gets to put his or her new hair on for the very first time. "WOW!" is usually the first word I hear from them and a smile so big from ear to ear. That, my dear, is what the Ponytail Kids Club is all about.
