About Browser and Javascript
The Pink Heart Funds website has been designed to properly display JavaScript pages in the following browsers (if JavaScript has been enabled):
- Firefox 2 and 3
- Internet Explorer 7 and 8
- Safari 4
If you are viewing the non-JavaScript version of this site, some elements and features may not be available or may work differently from the JavaScript version. For example:
- The Home page will display a static photo instead of a slide show.
- You will not be able to upload a story to the ‘Share Your Story’ page.
- Some features (such as Videos) may require more user input via selection or button-clicking.
- Shopping will not be available.
Possible Causes for Viewing Non-JavaScript Version include older browsers and disabled javascript. Links to current browsers as well as instructions for enabling javascript are provided for your convenience below.
Enabling Javascript
Internet Explorer 7 and 8
- Choose ‘Tools’ from the menu or click on the Tools button (the picture of a gear).
- Click on Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab at the top of the dialog box.
- Click on the button called ‘Custom Level’ (found near the bottom of the dialog box).
- Scroll toward the bottom of the Settings box and look for the section called ‘Scripting’.
- Under ‘Active Scripting’, choose ‘Enable’.
- Click OK twice to close the dialogue box.
- Refresh the browser. If you still don’t see the JavaScript version, close and then re-open the browser.
Firefox 2 and 3 - Windows
- Choose ‘Tools’ from the menu, then click on ‘Options’.
- In the box that appears, click on the ‘Content’ icon (near the top of the box).
- Place a check in the box labeled ‘Enable JavaScript’.
- Click the ‘OK’ button at the bottom of the box.
- Refresh the browser. If you still don’t see the JavaScript version, close and then re-open the browser.
Firefox 2 and 3 - Mac
- Choose Preferences under Firefox Menu.
- Click the ‘Content’ icon.
- Click the ‘Enable Javascript’ box.
- Close the Preferences Dialog.
- Refresh the browser. If you still don’t see the JavaScript version, close and then re-open the browser.
Safari 4 - Windows
- Click on the settings button (found near the upper right corner of the window – its icon looks like a gear).
- From the menu that is displayed choose ‘Preferences’.
- In the box that appears, click on the ‘Security’ icon (near the top of the box).
- Place a check in the box labeled ‘Enable JavaScript’.
- Click the ‘X’ in the upper right corner of the box – the box will close and your change will be saved.
- Refresh the browser. If you still don’t see the JavaScript version, close and then re-open the browser.
Safari 4 - Mac
- Choose ‘Preferences’ under Safari menu.
- Click on the ‘Security’ button.
- Check the box to enable JavaScript.
- Close Preferences dialog box.
- Refresh the browser. If you still don’t see the JavaScript version, close and then re-open the browser.
